We began in Tokyo, Japan, within Hakusan, Bunkyo City, inside a modest 19m² shared apartment. Through breathless mornings and late nights working at an architecture firm, my routine was train, work, train, work, sleep. I recall a dim room, with the city lights slipping in through a small window.

I thought about the people I grew up with, those who turned noise into signal. I saw them as creators and those who were consumed by noise, slipped away. But somewhere in between, I took a few steps and the city I called Kaizen was born, not as a brand, but a mindset: that progress doesn’t come all at once, but in small, deliberate steps.

Through failure, trial, and persistence, Kaizen matured. It became a bridge between cultures, a living practice of becoming just 1% better each day. Today, it’s driven by you because you are fueled by purpose, not perfection, but connection with the people you keep close to shape your vision.
